Mercaptans are sulfur-based chemicals that have heavy and penetrating odors. To eliminate mercaptans, theiroffensive odor is masked using essential oils or managed using biological "bugs." These methods take a long time, however, and have very low efficacy.
Vapor-Tech thus developed a new product that treats complex offensive odors such as those of H2S, mercaptans and sulfur- based chemicals. .

* Deodorizer, emulsifier and encapsulator in one
* Mercaptan immediately changes into a water-soluble product, and is then encapsulated. It becomes a non-odorous residue within a few seconds through oxidation reaction.
* Can be used to clean tanks and lines and to decontaminate soil.
* Has excellent efficacy when used in a scrubber system.
* No problem when used for sewage treatment or microorganism treatment.
* The offensive odors of mercaptans can be eliminated immediately if they are used in conjunction with a light bleach solution.


1) In our D Gwangyang chemical factory, 700 ppm was reduced to 1 ppm.
NaOH completely eliminated offensive odors and proved to be cost-effective.
2) In our G factory in Pusan, the offensive odor of H2S disappeared after the substance was injected into the microorganism treatment system.
3) In our I factory in Onsan, Ulsan, it became possible to work without the offensive odors of H2S and mercaptan after the substance was sprayed into the tank.
4) In our D factory in Ulsan, the offensive odor was eliminated completely after the substance was injected into the scrubber
